Approximately 65 of the 102 acres were strip mined and reclaimed in the late 1980’s. The high ground was mined but the bottom land along over 6,000 feet of Cain Creek is all natural and covered in mature hardwood timber. The miners left 3 two acre ponds and 3 small duck ponds. I see ducks in the creek and/or on the ponds almost every time I visit. Approximately 30 acres of the timber on the reclaimed land was harvested in the spring of 2018 and has since been almost completely reforested by mother nature. With over 200 feet of change in elevation, this tract gives you multiple locations for a cabin with big scenic views of the surrounding country side. If you want to get away and you enjoy big scenery, hunting deer, turkey, ducks and quail you really need to take a look at this property.
