President Joseph (Chip) Graham brings 24 years of experience in silvicultural services and land management to J. H. Graham, Inc. In 1993 he founded the firm to provide forestry services with integrity and professionalism to the landowners of North & Central Alabama. In a relatively short period of time he has gained invaluable hands on experience in all aspects of the timber industry. Chip possesses the self-confidence and initiative to serve his clients in all facets of timberland investments. In 1990, while working for Drennen Forestry Services, Chip established a new service area in South Alabama. Through his dedicated efforts the Montgomery, Alabama-based service area grew to 4 full time employees with over 30 contract laborers in just two years. Chip has worked with foresters and landowners across the Southeast. He has developed an extensive network of clients and associates with which to share information regarding the issues facing today’s timberland managers. His greatest strength is his ability to maximize client returns through the use of progressive management practices and present day technology. His success is based upon his initiative, willingness to make decisions and to accept responsibility. These skills along with the experience of working with people in many different geographic areas allow him to recognize client needs and to develop plans to achieve their desired results. Chip’s hands on experience in the silvicultural service industry uniquely qualify him to prescribe and carrying out forest management practices. He attended Auburn University graduating in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Forestry Management. Since graduation he has completed numerous continuing education courses including: Endangered Species Identification and Management, Timber Income Tax, Estate Planning for Forest Landowners, Timberland Appraisal Basics and Essentials of Section 1031 Exchanges in Alabama. He is a State of Alabama Registered Forester, a Licensed Real Estate Broker and a Licensed Residential Home Builder in the State of Alabama. Chip served consecutive terms as President of the Walker County Board of Realtors and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper.
